Typical - if Perfectly Understandable - 'Hoo-ha' over White Island Tragedy: it's indeed awful, folks, but get with the programme, awful things happen...

And, however heartless the preceding may well seem, it's simply to register my sentiment, that there's nothing new under the sun, and moving heaven and earth to seek to pin blame upon someone or some group (of usually, money-making people) is no viable solution, and certainly no way to move on...

These things do happen, but to subsequently and consequently seek to wrap everyone up in cotton wool to prevent a recurrence of such unmitigated tragedies, does nothing for nobody...

And for a certain (Newshub) reporter the other night - one never backward about coming forward and seeking to find a scapegoat for each and every disaster - to again attempt to do so, will help no-one...

These things happen in a world full of suffering, and one can only feel for those thus bereaved, or the critically injured, but masking everyone with band-aids to stop them from doing anything and everything which may be risky or potentially life-threatening is a way to ban a plethora of activities in which human beings engage, and to seriously circumscribe that most precious intangible of things, the freedom/liberty to live and let live - as one wishes - provided one doesn't adversely impact others.
