And the other story alluded to (in Sunday's blogpost)? The Exoneration of Sarah Dowie, M.P., by Police Probe

"Just part of the 'hurly-burly' of politics," was evidently the 'verdict' of the aforesaid to the controversy surrounding the Invercargill Member of Parliament, who, according to the series of 'salacious' revelations spewing forth from Jami-Lee Ross, M.P., just under a year ago...

...had emailed or texted him saying she wished he would kill himself...-end of story.

Just part of the hurly-burly of politics? Really? Not on your life - that is, not if the shoe'd been well and truly on the other (i.e. a male/masculine) foot...

No, not on yer nelly!

Rather, Double-standards Incorporated...as per how politics is - and indeed such matters in general are - played (out) in modern-day Western society...

And yet some so-called 'experts' have the sheer naivete to publicly ponder (and frankly, pontificate) on how and why respect for and trust in the justice system have well-nigh evaporated right throughout the West?
