You - in this case she - can bet your - in this instance, her - life that were she to be returned to her Belarussian homeland, she'd have been in rather deep doggy doo-doo, apparently aka Lukashenko's own brother (high up in their Olympics Committee, no less, c/o some good ole-fashioned Trumpesque nepotism at the highest levels)...

Under the rubric of her supposedly problematic mental health (as is all too common in the modern-day Games) she was in line to be given the right unroyal heave-ho and bullied (even if 'only' psychologically) into due submission - if not in fact a whole lot worse...

So all the best for her future prospects elsewhere and a well-earned good riddance to Lukashenko's Belarus...

Yes, it'll doubtless take every single last one of those ten-some years she named till she's indeed able to return there...

But who knows? The peoples' uprising at the outset of 2021 (I believe; or was it a year earlier?) failed to overturn his tyrannical, despotic, Putinesque rule - no doubt with 'friends in (Russian) high places', to be sure...

So how long the longsuffering Belarussians will put up with Russian Czar-apparent Putin's satellite drone running roughshod over all their civil liberties is a moot question indeed...  

...though naturally enough they'd generally be only too well aware that if they, the Belarussian mice, clamber for liberty too loud and long, the Russian mogey'll come down hard and fast and with some rather awful finality (upon one and all who dare to challenge its territorial aims and ambitions and assumptions)...
