Yet one would have to suppose that someone of Romney's longstanding political acumen knew that this was precisely, exactly what Trump was doing/had in mind, and as my brother I believe suggested, felt it nevertheless his duty to his fellow Americans to offer himself for service whether (seen to be) taken for a fool or otherwise, and arguably that is a noble thing, being willing to be thought a fool despite intending only the very best by his fellow Americans...
...i.e. to serve them in an honourable and noble, self-sacrificing way, the diametrical opposite of the way the present incumbent has ever publicly conducted himself whether inside or outside the Oval Office...
