As events transpired overnight to tip things increasingly in Joe Biden's favour, how refreshing to hear from an atypically unpartisan Republican standard-bearer, in this case former presidential hopeful Rick Santorum, trying to bring some measure of agreement between the two warring camps by suggesting that all the advance/absentee etcetera ballots be counted, whether in Democratic-tending Arizona or in Trump-leaning Pennsylvania, as well as the likes of Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina etcetera...
Like Biden in *a very real sense - living with a child with a serious congenital condition - perhaps has made him a more reasonable, understanding sort of a person, the kind we and especially America increasingly need in these days of such searing heat rather than elucidating light...
*Though Joe Biden's situation, almost identical with that of an American relative Gale Burkholder who lost his own wife and child in a car accident in the later 1960s, is quite dissimilar in its specifics from Mr Santorum's, it's the tenor of traumatic grief that seems to resonate similarly in both instances...
